Kath came up with yet another “wheel” game, this time a wheel that displayed a number of one-word personality traits.
The words that came up for us were “creativity”, “passionate”, and “strong”.
I told her the story of how my first grade teacher told my mother that I would never be very creative. I think it’s safe to say that she missed on that one!
We both agreed that we love passionate people. I love the perspectives that I get from passionate people who appear as guests on my podcast. Kath loves the passion of her favorite “P-Pop” band, SB19.
For strong, I told her that I don’t think of strength in terms of muscles. I think of strong in terms of inner strength. She pointed out that’s the same thing as love, and she’s right. It’s why love is always strong. The degree to which we are in touch with our inner selves is the degree of personal strength we each have.
I also asked her whether she followed up with my recommendation from yesterday that she start to create her own list of things that she loves as a way of beginning to identify her own passions in life. To my delight, she told me that she had started the list. She named talking with people, and singing as two things she really enjoys. I urged her to keep focusing on that list today, because the more she does that, the more she will learn about what she is passionate about.
