Kath and I decided to take a different approach to these sessions.
We decided to really zero in on the “hard” stuff going on in our lives today to try to change how we think and feel about them.
Kath is dealing with something medical. It’s not life-threatening or anything like that, but it’s painful and chronic.
I have been dealing with the challenges associated with marketing this program. it’s been frustrating because we have been unable to get many people to try our free introductory session.
I also have been dealing with the challenges regarding the gardening service that I own. Estimates done for customers, are proving to be underestimated, which creates all kinds of headaches.
Plus, I’m dealing with my dietary changes, which creates even more chaos.
So those were the issues we decided to focus our attention on.
Without going into details, Kath noticed by the end of the session that she was experiencing a lot less pain.
I was able to identify things that are going right with each of the things I’m dealing with. For instance, I’ve noticed to my surprise that this new dietary pattern, which includes eating different foods at seven times during the day, produces the surprising result that whatever the food of the hour is end up tasting a whole lot better than it normally tastes. That’s a surprising result.
With marketing the program, I’ve been publishing fictional stories to illustrate different kinds of scenarios that people experience commonly in their daily lives and how working with a positivity partner can actually help to improve them. I’m getting great response from people on Facebook reading those stories. I’m still not getting them to try the free introductory sessions, and I can barely get them to even look at the sales page, but I am getting great response on the stories. So progress is being made, and I need to focus more on that progress.
And with the gardening business, the business is going to have a record year. Even if the season were to end today, and there are two months left in the season, but just ending it today and collecting the money that’s owed would produce the same as last year’s total income. That means that by the end of the season, we’re going to be well ahead of last year’s pace. So it’s actually pretty to be a very successful season.
Kathy and I are going to continue to focus on these things over the next few days, to see if we can improve how often we focus on what’s going right rather than what’s going wrong.
