Kath and I compared notes today about what our day-to-day, hour-to-hour experiences are like. There is an energetic flow to our days, and we are both recognizing how we tend to be ruled by our predominant focus patterns, but also how we are shifting those patterns in small ways by doing these sessions.
Her cat, Mango, once again made an appearance during the meeting. She tends to do that each time we meet, suggesting that she’s picking up on the positive energy of the meeting.
Kath asked me about how I spend my day when I’m not directly working on one of my projects. I opened up and admitted that sometimes I am focusing on stuff that spins me out of control rather than focusing on what feels good to me. It’s actually a very useful admission and recognition.
She asked me about what I do when I’m engaged in one of my favorite activities. I told her about how when I play keyboard I tend to play one of two songs because I’m looking for relief and release, and those songs are my way to get relief and release. The two songs are “The Rainbow Connection” from Muppets fame and “Madg Seola”, a contemporary Irish song. I have created my own arrangements for these songs.
I also shared with her some of my past personal history, including my business history. We talked about how important it is to go through trials and tribulations in life, because that’s how we do our greatest growth. People who have things handed to them in life tend to lack these growth opportunities, and it holds them back.
We both agreed that we’re looking forward to carrying on this conversation next week.
