Today, Kath told me about a breakthrough she had in cooking a traditional Filipino dish that had given her problems in the past. The breakthrough made her feel more confident about her cooking skills.
I told her about some of my experiences growing up. She asked me about dancing and how I became involved with it, which is what led me to remember the challenges of shyness and introversion that I experienced when I was young.
I told her about how over the past year I had decided to only do dance styles (swing and hustle) that I really enjoy, because I am really not a big fan of the ballroom and latin styles. This is when she asked me how I got started in dancing, and I told her that dancing was the way I decided to try to climb out of my shell when I was in my late 20s.
It was a good session because the time just flew by, and we had used up our 27 minutes plus in what seemed like a blink of an eye. That’s a sure sign that we were really enjoying ourselves!
