We missed meeting yesterday because I am still getting used to how Acuity Scheduling works. It has a glitch in the system that prevents clients who have purchased session packages from automatically being identified as having more available sessions they can schedule when they go to schedule a new session. When I asked Acuity support about it, they replied, “When a client purchases a package, they will receive an order confirmation email with a code that includes their appointments and/or classes. If a client clicks the Redeem Coupon, Package, or Gift Certificate button on your scheduler, then they can enter their code or email address tied to their code to redeem it.”
That didn’t exactly set me up well for today’s meeting, but even so I was in a pretty good mood when we started, a 6 on a scale of 1-10. I think this is because I’m beginning to feel like this program is about take off. I’ve been marketing it via Facebook advertising for the past 10 days or so by simply sharing and advertising useful and interesting content for people to read and enjoy. In the next phase, we’ll introduce some direct advertising appeals in the messaging mix.
But I digress. Kath and I chatted about a couple of things going on in our lives. Then she introduced me to a new game sh created, the Gratitude Scavenger Hunt game.
It’s pretty easy to play. She asked me to look around the room I’m in and identify something that makes me feel grateful every time I see it. I identified my TYA coffee mug, which I use to drink water and stay hydrated. TYA stands for Trust Your Abundance, and it comes from a program created by my good friend, David Strickle, which I engaged in a couple of years ago.
She also asked me to look for an item in the room that makes me feel happy, and I identified my electronic keyboard (piano). I told her the story about how I acquired it.
I have to admit that she stumped me by asking me to identify something in the room that reminds me of a previous vacation. Unfortunately, I don’t collect or keep souvenirs from my travels! We had a good laugh about that.
I finished today’s session feeling 7-8 on the scale.
